In case anybody is interested, I have figured out how to turn off the Shield TV with Harmony 650+Flirc (or more precisely, put the Shield TV to sleep.) Yes, I'm THAT OCD about keeping my power bill down (not to mention keeping my house cooler in Phoenix summers.) Spent way more time on this than I would like but feel that the solution is close. I've seen a couple of different methods in this thread to get it started but Everytime, I am having lag and the power toggle/sleep function doesn't work.
#FLIRC NVIDIA SHIELD SOFTWARE#
I've got a 1st Gen flirc (do I need 2nd gen? I have an old harmony one which uses the Logitech software to sync on my Mac.ĭo I set up the 2019 shield as a home theater PC or game console? What model do you put down?
#FLIRC NVIDIA SHIELD PRO#
Any idea what key the Netflix button is mapped to and/or how I can discover what key it is mapped to?īTW great product! I have three and am using them on the new Nvidia Shield Pro TV and two gen 1 Amazon Fire TV Cubes.Ĭan you walk me through your setup? Or point me in the right direction on how to set this up? However I was not able to discover what the button is mapped to. Any idea what is going on?ģ) One of the reasons I connected a keyboard to the Nvidia Shield Pro TV is to try and discover what maps to the Netflix button that is on the new remote. I even erased the button and tried to rerecord it but it still doesn't work. All other buttons I have recorded work fine. I hit the button on the remote and nothing happens. I recorded F8 to one of the buttons on my remote but it doesn't seem to work. Is there any way to do this?Ģ) By connecting a keyboard to the Nvidia Shield Pro TV I discovered that F8 brings up a text (not voice) Search which is perfect. However I would like to better emulate the behavior of the original remote where a quick press of the button instead of a long press of the button brings up the Settings. I captured the Esc key to my remote and when I hold that button down I did in fact confirm it works. From other posts I figured out that I can get this button to work with a long keypress of Esc. However there are three things I have not been able to figure out:ġ) The new Nvidia Shield Pro TV remote has a Settings button on it. So remember, you have to have the B&O very close, line of sight.I got most of the functionality of the new Nvidia Shield Pro TV remote to work with Flirc and a Logitech Harmony 700 using the instructions for the older Nvidia Shield TV remote and from a lot of the information in this thread.

Then you'd repeat the process for all of the keys. Not sure which OS you're using, but you can use my documentation to find the commandline app:

Then emit this waveform from flirc using my commandline application. So we want to put your B&O into learning mode for the 'up' button. You need to output the IR waveforms for these buttons. Up, Down, Left, Right, Enter, Back, Home.

NVIDIA's profile has 7 buttons, attached a pic. You're going to put the B&O remote's receiver facing the flirc, right up against it, and put it in learning mode. Flirc is going to become an IR transmitter.
